No Limit Poker-The Reason for Playing PDF Print E-mail

New players to poker are known for gravitating towards the lower limit games, where they seem to be safe from great losses and have the ability to make wagers of two dollars, four dollars or similar amounts that minimize the chances of extreme loss for the inexperienced poker player.  These low limit poker games are a great way for players to start out, but the truth is, the strategy at lower limit games is almost nonexistent, as players almost always play right to the final bitter end at lower limits and it is difficult to raise or bluff high enough or strong enough to scare other players away from the pot.  Without this ability to raise and bluff and conduct psychological warfare on your opponent, lower limit games leave a lot to be desired on the strategic side.  Without the ability to intimidate your opponent it is almost impossible to force anyone to fold in a game where losing means only sacrificing a few dollars.

No limit poker, on the other hand, provides the player with the ability to play all ranges and varying amounts of wagers and bluff to their hearts content in an attempt to intimidate the opponent into folding or, at the very least, thinking twice about moving against his opponent.  In this way, no limit poker provides a real strategy that can be utilized by experienced players who are familiar with the ins and outs of no limit Texas Hold'em and other types of poker tournaments and cash games.  Without this ability to raise, call and fold for large amounts, poker becomes a simple method of steadily grinding and grinding in an attempt to earn enough money to get ahead.  While it is a given that a skilled player can make money at low limits, is far easier to earn at higher limits and no limit poker than it is to earn at low limit Texas Hold'em variations and other types of poker.

Competing in no limit poker takes a steady nerve and a steely hand, but it is easily the most profitable type of Texas Hold'em poker that the player can possibly learn and specialize in. By playing at higher limit and no limit games, the player can utilize the real world strategy of poker instead of simply grinding away for nickels and dimes, leading to a whole new world of profit and earnings.
